I have been having so much fun coming up with fun healthy ideas for snacks and meals for everyone in our house. We are trying to not eat out as much and it forces us to get creative.
A yummy snack I made Sunday that is healthy (in moderation of course) and will satisfy your sweet tooth are my choco bananas!
I used PB2 (but Gavin insisted some be made with Jif), two bananas, milk chocolate (again, Gavin insisted - - I love dark), toothpicks, and a cookie sheet.
First cut up your bananas like above. You will be making little pb sandwiches out of them!
Add a layer of pb between two slices then insert a toothpick to keep it all together.
Once you have them all put together stick them in the freezer for 10 minutes or so. This makes it easier to apply the melted chocolate.
Take them out and dip them in the melted chocolate. I used a knife to help around the sides.
Then put them back on the cookie sheet and in the freezer one last time.
After about 10 more minutes they should be good to go! It's a great healthy, sweet and chilly treat on a hot summer day!
Enjoy :)
