As many 20 somethings know, it is so important to start budgeting and saving as soon as possible. This month Gavin and I are really getting serious about it. We have a house, car and other debts (student loans etc) that we need to take care of. We make more than enough money to do so but we aren't being smart with our money - so we are changing that!
Come August 1st, Gavin and I are going to try something new. We are going to try to live off of $100 spending money combined and see how that goes. So that is money for movies, date nights etc. We have money for our We want to build our savings, our emergency fund and our Savannah trip fund. We want all of our money to have a place to go. Remember when you are budgeting, zeros are your best friend! That means your money has a place to go and is doing something.
I found these super awesome and helpful free budgeting forms online:
Thirty Handmade Days budgeting printable
We created a binder, and if you know me you know I love organizing, that will help us keep on track. It has everything even a monthly meal planner.
I am really excited to grow our savings and cut out things I don't need.
Check out the link above and let me know if you have any budgeting tips!
Until next time...
