A whale of a Sunday!

I have been in the process of fixing up the house my boyfriend and I live in. It's a 1902 beach cottage and it has a lot of charm but it needed a lot of work. I'm talking new walls, plumbing the whole 9 yards. With that being said, it's been fun to decorate and create my little nautical getaway home. I wanted to highlight a few pieces I've found or made this past week.

I made this wreath for our front door and it was so easy! I will post a tutorial soon. I made the bow myself and that's really easy as well. But that may just be my years of cheerleading. I know craft stores sell them already made. I like this because it will be so practical and easy to switch the bow or whatever decoration I fancy for whatever holiday or time of year. Of course being me I made a navy bow.

This whale. This adorable little woden whale was only $20.00 at Target. I love him. I have yet to put him up but he will be hanging over our bed. The blue matches the dresser I painted in our room perfectly.
